To add to the Hawkins Tracey fight. Both fighters were getting ready for this show to face other fighters. Both of their guys were injured prior, one with a broken rib training and the other with a broken foot snow boarding. Tracey was 1-0 with his win at heavy weight and Hawkins was 0-1. Tracey came down to 205 and took the fight with ama rules. They both had time to check on the other it wasn't a last min switch. Now in saying that after meeting Hawkins, holy nuts is he a big dude! I have spoken to Tracey's camp through text and phone and he is OK. The 1st knee I was told went to the body and the 2nd knee was headed for the body as Tracey bent over it caught in in the jaw. Tracey's first fight was against a much larger Ben Cone where he won a UD - He also played (plays) semi pro football.

The first strike the flying knee actually appeared to be to the head. The second knee landed flush to the head, followed up with a elbow to the head as Tracey was lying on floor. Three illegal strikes seems a more than accidental. Perhaps the ref had forgotten the fight was actually ama rules, it at least appeared that way sitting at ringside.

Just to reply to the person claiming three illegal strikes, As I was actually sitting cageside. I had a great view. The first knee sent the kid flying into the cage, the flying knee hit him in the upper chest first..then slid up into the head and finally the last strike was a hammerfist NOT and elbow. The ref absolutely made the right call. It was a very sobering event that no one takes lightly. I personally heard the fighter speaking as he left on the stretcher letting people know that he was ok and telling people he felt bad for the next guy who had to fight hawkins. There seemed to be no complaining or ill will from him at all

I know Chris from the locker room only and he's a good kid and I'm sure he did not complain. I also spoke to dilorenzo and he had been in touch with his camp checking on him and he is OK. the fights that night were great all the way around. some of the guys that night were real heavy hitters. i was impressed with them and the talent the AFO put together for the show. i too cant wait for the next one. I saw it is June 5th

Real exciting night of fights. Great new champion! Can't wait for June 5th.
No one has said it yet so I will. Kevin the ref is the best! This guy genuinely cares for the sport, but more importantly, cares for the fighters. I always see him going out of his way before the fight to talk to the fighters (alone) and never lets anything get out of control. It makes for a much better night when he is in the ring.

hey sup everyone this is chris tracey i wanna go on saying that i dont hold nething on Eli i dont remember what happen really i just know that i threw 3 punches and then we got tangled up and i was throwing inside punches after that it was a blur. Thats all i remember. Like i said im not complaining. If it was an accident ok if he forgot the rules for a min ok 2 but im not gonna blame Eli for nething. I like the whole Wai Kru team i liked them when i first saw them at my first fight in febuary. Im saying this just to clear up nething that has been said around or if there is ne bad blood in the air. I hope to be back so stronger an more ready than ever.

Good to hear Chris - You still coming down or you staying at 205? Eli felt pretty bad, you could see it on his face afterwards. Kevin does do a real good job, I think he's the best in our area. Anyone know how Demitri is doing. I heard he had a pretty bad panic attack

Yea Kevin is hands down the best guy around. I have seen other posts on Mass MMA about refs abilities and I know I feel most comfortable when he's in the cage with the fighters.

doomsday put out sum pretty impressive fighters.... i was impressed with who ever the first kid was...white kid could fight thats for sure...not sure how the judges ruled in the other kids favor...invest in some new judges...mayb ones that know the sport...bummer 2 see isabel lose like that...but wat can u say sh!t happens.... as for the Eli Hawkins fight... dude was an animal...and any1 whos ever been in the cage knows wen that ref says "fight" you jump into survival mode...weather intentional or not 1st knee landed square in the upper chest 2nd 2 the jaw due 2 the reaction of the 1st knee....not Hawkins fault...AT ALL
all in all AFO puts 2gether a solid event cant wait for June show... any ideas on any fights...
PS congrats 2 ken stone!!!

Doomsday does put out some tough guys. If you mean that 140, he was very tough but defently lost the fight. That other kid scored several takedowns and G&P his way to victory but not trying to take anything away from him. I really liked Nic, I've seen him fight twice now and he's one tough kid. All I know is Marino turns pro in June
